I'm an FDFS Freak — First Day, First Show. But in GenAI.

You know the type. The fan who books the earliest possible screening, front row, opening day. Not for the review scores, not for the crowd — for the sheer thrill of being there when it drops. That's me. Except my screen isn't in a theatre. It's a terminal.

When something like FreeToken lands — a frontier-scale MoE engine that runs 284B on a single RTX 5090 — I'm not waiting for the think-pieces. I'm cloning the repo, reading the paper, watching the experts stream over PCIe on my own machine. First day. First show. Front row.

This isn't a job thing. It's a wiring thing.

I'm Raja CSP Raman, Senior GenAI Engineer at one of the top 10 banks in North America. The day work is serious — but the FDFS instinct is what got me here and what keeps me here.

I've published 12 research papers on arXiv. When a new idea drops, I don't just consume it — I contribute back to the record.

I've published two books, and I'm writing my third: Risk Taking Gene. The title says most of what you need to know about how I'm wired.

The FDFS instinct is the compulsion to be first through the door on new GenAI. New model, new engine, new paper — I want to run it before it's cool, not after it's safe.

And in a field moving this fast, being first-day-first-show isn't fandom for its own sake. It's how I figure out what's real, what's hype, and what actually changes the game.

The credits haven't even rolled and I'm already looking for the next release.
